Today, we’re excited to introduce Patrick Plant, one of our wonderful teachers at ETA’s Cheyenne location! 🍎
Patrick brings years of experience in education and a passion for building meaningful relationships with our interns. A fun fact about Mr. Patrick is he taught biology and coached boys’ tennis at Edmond Memorial High School!
Outside of the classroom, Patrick enjoys spending time with his wife, their five children, and two granddaughters, especially at Lake Tenkiller! ☀️
One of Patrick’s favorite things about ETA is getting to know our interns and learning from them along the way. He believes that being an educator means being a lifelong learner and that our interns have just as much to teach us as we have to teach them. ❤️

Our interns had a great time getting outside and exploring nature at Martin Park Nature Center! Along the way, they spotted birds, turtles, and prairie dogs—and one group even got to see a young deer! 🐦🐢🦌
It was a great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, explore our community, and see some Oklahoma wildlife up close! 🌳

Our interns have been gaining hands-on work experience at 3F Ranch! From caring for animals to cleaning stalls, organizing supplies, and helping with grounds work, they’re getting the chance to practice a variety of real-world job skills.
These experiences help our interns build responsibility, teamwork, follow directions, and gain confidence while completing real-world job tasks.

A busy week at ETA! 🛒🍳🥞
Our interns put their skills to work this week! We started with a trip to Crest to grocery shop for everything we needed, then headed to the kitchen to prepare a full breakfast. To finish it off, we visited Special Services and hosted breakfast for their meeting! 💙
Interns helped prepare:
🍓 Vanilla Greek yogurt, mixed fruit & granola
🥚 Egg bites with hash browns, cheese and sausage
🥚 Egg bites with hash browns, cheese, spinach, & tomatoes
🫐 Blueberry mini muffins
From making a shopping list and finding items at the store to cooking, preparing, and serving the meal, our interns got to practice so many important real-world skills along the way. We are so proud of all their hard work and teamwork! 👏

Between all of our sites, there’s been lots of cooking happening lately! Interns have made grilled cheese, chocolate chip cookies, homemade tortilla chips, rice krispie treats, apple cinnamon muffins, lemonade, and brownies! 🍪🍋🧁

Our Project SEARCH interns have officially started travel training on Citylink, and it’s going great! 🎉
This hands-on experience is giving our interns the opportunity to practice important real-world skills like navigating public transportation, reading routes and schedules, planning trips, and building confidence and independence in the community.
